About me and my therapy practice

I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Master’s degree in Psychology and am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have completed additional training in bereavement counselling, counselling for children and young people, and safeguarding vulnerable people.

I am based in South London at therapy rooms in Battersea, near Clapham Junction.  If online counselling is preferred, sessions can be arranged on a secure video conferencing platform.  I also offer walk and talk sessions in local parks in South London.

I support women with full, demanding lives to create clarity, balance and real change.

They are women who feel stretched between the competing demands of family, work and friendships, while also navigating significant life transitions—such as identity shifts, bereavement, new beginnings at work, perimenopause or menopause.

Many clients come to me because they want a supportive relationship that helps them both reflect deeply and work toward the changes they want to see in their life. Together, we look at what often goes unspoken, clarify what feels confusing or heavy, and uncover strengths and perspectives that can guide meaningful change. Exploring different parts of yourself without judgement can create greater confidence, direction and balance in your daily life.

Practice description

My style of counselling is reflective and compassionate. I hope to build your trust and confidence in our relationship, so that we can work together at a pace that suits you.

My aim is to help you feel comfortable exploring your inner thoughts and feelings by offering non-judgemental, confidential and gentle support. I respond to individual preferences for working and emotional needs to give a clear sense of direction.

Together, we dedicate time to untangle the emotions, make sense of relationships and develop a deeper understanding of you, so that you can move forward with confidence and calm. By uncovering insights we can identify and embrace changes.

I prioritise your sense of safety by underpinning our work with an ethical framework that focuses our time together on your goals and respects your autonomy.

My first session

Following an initial 15 minute consultation on the phone, I will send you a proposed contract for working, some more information about the counselling process and some forms to help us get started.

The first session is a gentle beginning — not a deep dive unless you want it to be.

We’ll get to know each other, agree how we’ll work going forward and think together about what you’re hoping for from counselling.  From there we'll make a plan for future sessions.

We can go at your own pace. Nothing needs to be decided or shared before you’re ready.
