About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Lillie, a qualified integrative counsellor offering weekly talking therapy online.
I work with adults from all walks of life, offering a warm and open-minded space for them to feel seen, heard and accepted. I look to bring people into better contact with themselves, working through difficult emotions and experiences to find more connection with the world around them. Whether you're in crisis or suffering from feelings of alienation, our work should enable you to explore your problems in a safe and holding environment. We might explore your past and the experiences that have shaped you, or focus on what is happening in your life now.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches (humanistic, existential, psychodynamic, body psychotherapy and transpersonal) to create an approach that works for you.
Therapy is a deeply personal experience and, as such, choosing the right therapist for you is hugely important. I offer a free, 15 minute, initial consultation to see if we are the right fit. Please email me to book such a session in
Practice description
Background and experience
My clinical experience spans both private practice and low-cost therapy services. This has given me experience of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, something that is important to me as an intersectional practitioner.
I trained in Integrative Counselling at The Minster Centre, one of Europe’s longest-established institutions for integrative psychotherapy. Whilst this training was integrative, my approach is deeply relational, with the client-therapist relationship at the heart of my work.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in learning and development for a boutique consultancy as well as the School of Life. This professional background cemented my belief in the potential for human growth and transformation. I have also worked in elderly care, learning a huge amount from those who I have supported. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy, as I seek to work toward progress, as opposed to keeping you where you are.
What issues do I work with?
People come to therapy for a plethora of reasons from depression, anxiety, grief or self-image to relationship difficulties. You may be struggling following a particular event, or perhaps you have been feeling this way for a long time. I am able to work with all of these issues, exploring what feels important to you. I am here to listen, not to judge.
I have a particular interest in identity and how our sense of who we are shapes the way we see the world. Our identities can be shaped by relationships, family, culture, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, work, community and the expectations of those around us.
Who do I work with?
I welcome people of all backgrounds and aim to offer a practice that is affirming of neurodivergence, gender, sexuality and relationship diversity.
My first session
Therapy is very much about the alchemy between client and therapist. If you are considering therapy and would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, you are welcome to contact me by email.
I offer a free 10-minute introductory call by phone or video. There is no obligation to continue. It is simply a chance to tell me a little about what is bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you have and get a feel for how it is to talk with me.
From there, we can agree a time for our first session, scheduling weekly sessions following that
