About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred counsellor, practising in Worthing, West Sussex.
I offer confidential, professional counselling for adults, providing a calm and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.
You may be nervous or hesitant about whether counselling is right for you and what benefits you may get from it. Together we will look at what you'd like from your sessions, whether that's a space to:
- sit with your emotions in a supportive environment
- understand difficult events in your past
- look at areas where you might feel stuck, or
- re-connect with who you are and what you want your life to look like.
Please do get in touch to arrange your free 20 minute consultation, where we can see if we can work together.
Practice description
I work in an open-minded, non-judgemental, and culturally respectful way to explore your experiences from your unique perspective.
Whether it's face to face, online or by phone, I offer you room to explore emotions, issues and areas of tension and disconnect that may be holding you back in your relationships, work or most importantly, how you feel about yourself.
I have a special interest in loss and bereavement through my experience of providing counselling at a hospice, but have also worked with clients in other areas such as depression, stress and anxiety, low self-esteem, neurodivergence, family dynamics, relationships, sleep issues, and the impacts of perimenopause/menopause.
Culturally-competent counselling
I welcome clients and enquiries from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. As a British Chinese woman, I understand the significance of your identity in your day to day experiences, especially when you feel it's not accepted or understood. My practice is underpinned by the values of equality, diversity and inclusion.
My first session
It's important to find the right counsellor who you feel comfortable to talk to.
I offer an initial 20 minute consultation so you can find out if counselling is right for you, and to see if you would like us to work together. During this session, we will discuss the reasons why you're seeking counselling and what you hope to get from it.
Importantly, it will also be a chance for you to ask questions.
