About me and my therapy practice
Alongside my work with adults, I have an MSc in Counselling Children and Young People, which included specialist postgraduate training.
In addition to this, I have extensive experience supporting children and young people across a range of emotional and relational difficulties.
I often work with young people who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or feel as though they are carrying more than feels manageable. Many are thoughtful and sensitive, but can find themselves overthinking, struggling with self-doubt, or feeling responsible for others.
This can present as anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, difficulties in relationships, or challenges linked to earlier experiences within the family.
My training is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches and tailor my work to each individual, rather than using a one-size-fits-all model.
Practice description
My practice is based in a quiet, tranquil countryside location, in Quinton, offering a calm and private setting for therapeutic work.
I also work from my therapy room in the village of Blisworth, as well as from a central Oxford location.
Across all settings, I aim to provide a space that feels steady, containing, and supportive.
I work with children, teenagers, young people, and adults. Children and teenagers don’t always find it easy to talk about difficult feelings, so I work gently and at their pace, using conversation, creativity, and therapeutic activities where helpful.
I offer online counselling via secure video call, allowing you to access therapy from your own space while maintaining consistency and confidentiality.
My first session
I understand that making first contact about therapy can feel difficult. You’re welcome to email, text, or phone, whichever feels easiest for you.
Before starting, I offer a free brief phone call or video call. This gives us a chance to talk about what you’re looking for (if you know what that is), for me to explain how I work, and for you to decide whether us working together feels right for you.
There’s no pressure to know what to say in your first session. We’ll take things at a pace that feels manageable for you.
