About me and my therapy practice
Alongside my ongoing work with adults, I specialise in working with children and young people, with over 20 years’ experience supporting them across a range of emotional and relational difficulties, including within education settings.
Many of the young people I work with are thoughtful and sensitive, but can find themselves overwhelmed, anxious, or carrying more than feels manageable. Many are angry and feel misunderstood.
Many adults I work with are experiencing similar feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, or difficulty making sense of their experiences. Struggling with relationships, work or the challenges that life brings us.
When things feel overwhelming, confusing, or hard to put into words, for you or your child, it can be difficult to know where to start.
I can help make sense of what you’re experiencing, at a pace that feels safe, manageable and understood.
My training is integrative, meaning I personalise sessions to each individual. As well as talking therapy, I also offer creative approaches which include Minecraft based, Lego based and Domino Therapy, sandtray work, drawing, beads and bracelet making and many more. These all support communication and help make sense of thoughts, feelings and reactions in a more accessible way.
Practice description
I base my practice across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.
The quiet, tranquil countryside location of Quinton, offers my clients a calm and private setting for therapeutic work.
My therapy room at Nourish Holistic Wellbeing and Healing Centre in Wolverton Mill provides a peaceful safe space for you to be you.
I also work from my home therapy room in Blisworth.
All settings, provide a space that feels steady, containing, and supportive.
I work with children, teenagers, young people, and adults. Some people don’t always find it easy to talk about difficult feelings, so I work gently and at your pace, using conversation, creativity, and therapeutic activities where helpful.
Creative therapy is popular with people who find talking hard. It allows me to meet you, not need you to meet me.
I offer online counselling via secure video call, allowing you to access therapy from your own space while maintaining consistency and confidentiality.
My first session
I understand that making first contact about therapy can feel difficult. You’re welcome to email, text, or phone, whichever feels easiest for you.
We can then arrange a time to have a quick chat, to talk about what you’re looking for support with. I can also explain how I work.
You can then decide whether us working together feels right for you.
There’s no pressure to know what to say, we’ll take things at a pace that feels manageable for you.
