About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes life can look manageable from the outside while anxiety, low confidence, difficult relationships or earlier experiences continue to affect how you feel. I work with adults, children and young people, helping them understand what is happening beneath the surface and work towards meaningful change.

My work with adults includes anxiety, stress, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, chronic illness and the lasting effects of childhood emotional neglect or abuse. I also have over 20 years’ experience supporting children, young people and families, including many years working in education, and I hold an MSc in Counselling Children and Young People.

Children and teenagers may come to therapy because they are experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, school difficulties, friendship problems, anger, self-harm or difficulties expressing what is happening for them. I also work with parents who are unsure how best to support their child or who feel that communication has become difficult.

I work relationally and integratively, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment-informed, systemic and cognitive behavioural ideas. Sessions are adapted to the individual; with children and young people, this may include creative or play-based approaches.

You do not need to know exactly what to say or what type of therapy you need. We can begin by making sense of what has brought you here, what may be keeping you stuck and what you would like to begin to feel different.

I offer face-to-face appointments in Blisworth and Quinton, Northamptonshire, as well as online therapy throughout the UK. You can arrange a free 15–20 minute introductory telephone call or book a first appointment through my website.

Practice description

I offer individual counselling for adults, children and young people. My approach is relational and integrative, which means that I adapt our work to the individual rather than expecting them to fit one particular therapeutic model.

Depending on your needs, I may draw on person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment-informed, systemic and cognitive behavioural ideas. With children and young people, sessions may also include creative and play-based approaches that can make it easier to communicate experiences that are difficult to put into words.

Alongside private practice, I have extensive experience supporting children, young people and families in education and therapeutic services. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and can provide the relevant professional documentation when working with schools and organisations.

Face-to-face appointments are available in Blisworth and Quinton, Northamptonshire. I also offer online counselling throughout the UK, with weekday daytime and evening appointments available.

If you are considering therapy, you are welcome to arrange a free 15–20 minute introductory telephone call. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for, answer any questions and decide whether working together might feel right.

You can also book an initial appointment through my website:

Our first session gives us time to understand what has brought you to therapy, what you would like help with and what you hope might begin to feel different. You will not be expected to explain everything immediately, and we can work at a pace that feels manageable.

I will send the relevant information and consent forms before the appointment so that our time can focus on you or your child rather than paperwork.
