About me and my therapy practice
The relationship between therapist and client is important. Feeling truly safe within a relationship, can make it easier to explore what is troubling you and consider change.
My genuinely curious and non judgement approach, provides a space for you to be you, however that looks. From there, we can begin to explore what feels comfortable for you, when you are ready. You are the expert on you, I am here to support you, accompany you and help you make sense of your experiences, as we discover together, how it feels to be you.
Sometimes that might involve me asking questions, sometimes listening, sometimes some psychoeducation (me helping you understand some of what’s actually happening within your body) but always with warmth, compassion and with you at the centre of everything we do.
My individual approach, draws on and combines various therapeutic modalities; integrative, person-centred, relational, psychodynamic, attachment-informed, systemic, creative, CBT, inner child work or perhaps something different, depending on what feels the most helpful in the moment.
With children and young people, I may use play-based and creative approaches, such as drawing, games or sand tray, to help them express experiences they may not yet have the words for.
Practice description
Are you managing on the outside, but inside you’re overthinking everything, feeling constantly on edge, angry, depressed, anxious or wondering why the smallest things affect you so deeply? Do you find yourself saying, “This is just who I am!”
What if it’s not? What if things could begin to feel different?
Or perhaps you’re worried about your child or teenager. They may seem anxious, angry, withdrawn or overwhelmed. School mornings might have become a battle, they may be struggling with friendships or sleep, or you might keep hearing “I don’t know”, “I’m fine” or “I’m ok”, when you try to find out what is going on for them. You know something is not right, but you are unsure how to help. Maybe your young person has gone off to university and finding things difficult on their own.
I work with adults, children and teenagers. Together, we can make sense of what is happening or feels difficult. We can explore and look to understand any patterns beneath it and work towards things feeling easier and make meaningful change.
I also hold an MSc in Counselling Children and Young People and have more than 20 years’ experience supporting children, teenagers and families.
I offer discreet face-to-face appointments in Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes and online throughout the UK.
You’re welcome to check my availability and book a free 20-minute introductory call through my website:

My first session
Our first session gives us time to get to know each other. You can begin to tell me what has brought you to therapy, what you would like help with and what you hope might begin to feel different. However, if you’re not sure, that’s ok too ☺️ You never need to arrive knowing what to say or what to talk about.
When the appointment is for a young person, I will usually speak with their parent or carer first. Depending on the young person’s age and needs, part of the first appointment may be spent together.
I send any relevant information and consent forms by email, before the appointment, so that our time together can focus on you or your child rather than paperwork.
The first session is also an opportunity to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you or your child. There is no obligation to continue if it does not feel right.
