About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor offering a warm, compassionate, and confidential space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My practice is rooted in the belief that meaningful change happens within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.
As an integrative practitioner, I work collaboratively, remaining responsive to what feels most supportive for you. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship, one built on trust, empathy, and respect which I view as central to healing and growth.
I am deeply passionate about meeting people with authenticity and empathy. I aim to offer a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood, without judgement or pressure to be any way. I hold a deep respect for the complexity of the human experience and understand that our emotional worlds are shaped by many factors, including past experiences, relationships, identity, and the wider world we live in.
My approach is relational and reflective, supporting clients to develop greater self-awareness, emotional understanding and self compassion. I believe therapy is a space that can help find clarity, resilience, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I work ethically and in line with the BACP Ethical Framework, and I am committed to ongoing learning, reflection, and supervision to ensure my practice remains thoughtful, safe, and client-centered.
Practice description
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you've been coping alone or unsure where to turn. You might be feeling anxious, low, or stuck and perhaps struggling with relationships, self esteem, or the impact of past experiences. Sometimes it's not a clear reason, but a sense that life feel heavier than it should. You may also be exploring the challenges of neurodivergence or finding it hard to feel truly seen or understood.
What brings you to counselling might be different from what unfolds once we begin. As we talk, new insights and needs can emerge. Together, we can explore what feels most important to you and work in a way that supports you. My approach allows me to tailor sessions to your individual needs, drawing on different ways of working to help you make sense of your experiences.
My first session
Before booking a first session, I offer a free 10-minute consultation call. This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss your needs and for you to ask any questions, and to see whether working together feels like the right fit.
In our first session, I will gently guide us through a short client details form. This helps me ensure that I can work safely and effectively with you. We will also take time to go through the counselling contract together, so you have a clear understanding of how I work, confidentiality, and practical arrangements.
Once these foundations are in place, we can begin to explore what has brought you to counselling and what you would like to gain from our work together. The session is paced with care, and there is no expectation to share more than you feel ready to.
