About me and my therapy practice

Hello. I'm Jack, a BACP-registered therapist.

If you’re reading this, you might be facing one of the many challenges life can throw at us: anxiety, overwhelming thoughts or emotions, grief, or relationship struggles at home or at work. Many people come to therapy because something needs to shift, internally, externally, or both. They want life to feel different: more manageable, more connected, and more meaningful. Therapy is a creative journey that we go on together. We explore how you arrived at this point, what feels difficult, and what might help things change for the better.

I offer dedicated time and space that is just for you: free from others’ needs, expectations, and demands. It’s a steady place where your thoughts, worries, and mental noise can be safely and kindly witnessed. Together, we explore what it’s like to be you and consider how your inner experience might become more understandable and more tolerable.

If this resonates, feel free to reach out. We can explore whether therapy with me feels like a good fit and how we might work together.

Practice description

I work with clients experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and relational patterns that feel difficult to change. In our early sessions, we take time to understand what you're carrying and how it's affecting you. From there, we work together at a pace that feels manageable, aiming for meaningful and lasting change rather than quick fixes.

I work relationally, meaning healing and change are fostered through a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. We pay attention to how you experience connection, safety, and difference in the room, as challenges in these areas often relate to earlier experiences. This creates space for greater awareness, repair, and regulation.

My first session

We’ll start with a 20-minute phone call. This is a chance for me to get a sense of what’s going on for you and for you to ask any questions you might have. There’s no pressure — it’s simply an opportunity to see whether this feels like a good fit.

After our call, I’ll send you a short questionnaire to gather background information, along with a copy of the contract outlining how we’ll work together.

From there, we’ll begin our work. The first session is the same length and cost as ongoing sessions. During this session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and work through an informal assessment to help shape the focus and direction of our work going forward.
