About me and my therapy practice
My path to who I am, where I am and what I do today has been everything but a straight line. Originally from multilingual Belgium, I have lived and worked across different languages and cultures and have experienced many different ways of looking at life and society. I have always been interested and drawn to people who somehow seem to be experiencing life differently from others. I started my professional career as a Secondary School Teacher which I thoroughly enjoyed and stimulated by my zest for life I moved to London over a decade ago where I climbed the corporate ladder in a large multinational. Along the way and with the help of therapy at different stages in my life I managed to take back control of my life, rather than my life living me. Over time, I came to see how profoundly therapy can shift a life — not by fixing us, but by helping us reconnect to our strength, our clarity, and our capacity for choice.
I hold a (level 7) postgraduate diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham. A renowned learning body for Integrative Psychotherapy, affiliated with Staffordshire University. I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
I am continuously furthering my knowledge in the field of psychotherapy and alongside Continuing Professional Development (CPD) consisting of Short- and mid-term Training, I am currently finalising an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy. During this MSc, I am working towards full United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) accreditation and therefore I am currently a UKCP Trainee Therapist. I expect to graduate and receive UKCP accreditation by September 2026. UKCP is another UK-wide recognised accrediting body. I am supported in my professional work by my Clinical Supervisor. My next training I embark on is a level 5 training in Couples Therapy, accredited by the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSTR).
Practice description
Training as an Integrative Psychotherapist allowed me to bring together different approaches — humanistic, psychodynamic, relational, developmental and somatic — so we can work in the way that best supports you. What matters most to me is that our work feels real, respectful, and alive. It’s a collaborative process: you set the pace; I hold the space.
As a gay man, I specialise in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and am a member of Pink Therapy.
In my practice, I regularly support people navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I work with depression and a loss of meaning, helping clients reconnect with themselves and rediscover purpose, as well as burnout, where the demands of life have become overwhelming. I have experience working with neurodivergent clients, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Specific Learning Differences, supporting them to better understand their minds and thrive in a world that is not always designed with their needs in mind. I also help clients experiencing anxiety and chronic stress, trauma and complex PTSD, and the lasting effects of experiences that have disrupted their sense of safety.
Alongside this, I work with questions of identity and belonging, relationship and intimacy difficulties, low self-esteem and self-criticism, and addictive behaviours, supporting clients to understand the underlying patterns that keep them feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person's unique experiences, creating a space where meaningful and lasting change can take place.
My first session
The first step is for us to have a free of charge introductory session. We’ll meet online or by phone to see if we’re a good fit. You can share what’s been going on, ask questions, and get a sense of my approach — with no pressure to commit.
Then we'll have a first session which is an initial conversation, allowing us to explore your concerns, discuss your goals, and decide how therapy can best support you.
After that we'll have weekly sessions. I work integratively, drawing from different methods depending on your needs — always at your pace.
