About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in working with clients who may find themselves juggling complex realities and responsibilities at home, school and/or work. Finding themselves in demanding environments that sometimes come with the quiet expectation to “just cope.”

My approach is integrative, grounded in evidence-based therapeutic methods, but flexible to meet you where you are. Whether you seek a space to reflect, a supportive structure or more creative ways to explore what maybe lies beneath the surface, together, we can collaborate to make room for a way of being that feels more aligned to your needs and values.

Who I Support

Professionals and those navigating major life transitions and events:

If you are used to performing at a fast pace and or high level, it can be hard to slow down long enough to notice how much pressure you are under. Many come to therapy looking for stress management, describing burnout symptoms, performance anxiety, an inability to ‘switch off’ and a sense that life overall feels ‘too much’. In our sessions, we slow things down and make space for what maybe has been held inside for too long, offering a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly and feel understood.

I also support people who are recently retired, a transition that can bring unexpected shifts in identity, purpose, and emotional rhythm. Whether you are stepping back from a demanding career or adjusting to a new chapter of life, counselling can offer a space to process and understand what this change means for you.

Teenagers and young adults

I also work with young people who are navigating the intensity of adolescence, academic pressure, social challenges, emotional overwhelm, or the struggle to understand who they are becoming.

Using an integrative, developmentally attuned approach, I combine evidence-based methods with creative tools such as drawing, visual prompts, and narrative work, to enable young people to express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe.

Practice description

About Me

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent twenty years as a brand strategist helping large organisations understand who they are, what they stand for, and how to drive growth with integrity. Beyond my counselling diploma, I also hold a BA (Hons) in Communications with a Minor in Psychology. This early training deepened my interest in people and relationship dynamics, and laid the foundations for the work I do now as a counsellor and consultant.

I offer one-to-one counselling in Guildford, Surrey with mostly teenagers (13+) and adults, creating a space where they can pause, breathe, and make sense of what’s going on for them.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am in the process of working towards my BACP Accredited status, remaining committed to my ongoing learning, clinical supervision, and ethical practice.

How I Work

Counselling with me won't be about fixing things, it’s about understanding yourself on a deeper level and creating space for emotional processing. I believe this is core to enabling decision-making that feels in line with your needs and true self. Sessions with me are a gentle invitation, never a pressure, to connect and collaborate therapeutically. You will find I am gentle but honest, curious without being intrusive, always guided by what feels helpful for you.

I am trained in trauma‑informed practice, which means I work with sensitivity to how past experiences, whether overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to name, can influence present‑day feelings, behaviours, and relationships. Prioritising safety, session pacing, and collaboration will always remain central to how I support you.

I am actively involved in current research and regular professional development, with a special interest in neurodevelopmental presentations, performance anxiety, grief, how hormonal transitions can impact on mental health, self-harm and suicide prevention, and incorporating creative arts in counselling.

My first session

I offer a free, no-obligation initial phone consultation, which usually lasts between 15 to 30 minutes. It is a chance for you to share a little bit more about what brings you to counselling, to ask any questions and explore how we might work together.

I offer both short-term and long-term counselling and we can discuss which feels most suitable to your needs in our first session. We will explore and review your therapeutic progress regularly to ensure you feel you are getting the most from our time together.
