About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative psychotherapist offering a confidential, grounded and respectful space for individuals and couples.

People come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes there is a clear crisis or difficulty. At other times, it may be a quieter sense that something does not feel right — in your relationships, your work, your patterns of behaviour or your sense of self.

You do not need to arrive with everything worked out. Therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect and begin to understand what may be happening beneath the surface.

I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable and safe. My approach combines warmth with clear therapeutic direction. I aim to create an environment where you can speak openly, without fear of judgement, and where difficult or shame-based experiences can be explored with care and professionalism.

Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with patterns that feel hard to change, therapy offers the opportunity for clarity, insight and meaningful, sustainable change.

Practice description

As an integrative practitioner, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor my work to your individual needs. There is no one-size-fits-all model. Therapy is shaped around you.

My work is relational and collaborative. I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, as I believe that trust, honesty and consistency are central to meaningful change. Alongside exploring current difficulties, we may look at past experiences, attachment patterns and emotional responses that continue to influence your present life.

Where appropriate, I also support you in developing practical strategies to strengthen emotional regulation and coping. We will regularly review how therapy feels and whether it is meeting your needs.

I work with adults (18+) on an individual basis and with couples at all stages of their relationship.

Clients seek support for a range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, shame, guilt, life transitions, trauma and attachment-related experiences.

In addition to general psychotherapy practice, I have specialist training and experience in working with compulsive sexual behaviour disorder (CSBD) and problematic pornography use. I understand that these areas can carry significant shame, secrecy or distress. My approach is structured, respectful and evidence-informed.

I also work with behavioural and substance-related addictions, exploring the role the behaviour plays in your life, identifying triggers and maintaining patterns, and supporting sustainable change.

My first session

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, particularly if you are feeling anxious, unsure, or carrying something difficult to talk about. It is very common to feel nervous. You are not expected to know exactly what to say or how therapy “should” work.

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life.

At the start, I will explain how I work, including confidentiality, boundaries and practical arrangements. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and ensure you feel informed about the process.

You will be invited to talk about what has led you to seek support. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. There is no pressure to disclose everything in the first session, and we will move at a pace that feels manageable for you.

We may begin to explore how your current difficulties are affecting you and your relationships. The focus is not on assessment or judgement, but on understanding you and what you need from therapy.

Towards the end of the session, we will reflect on how the meeting has felt and consider next steps, including possible goals or frequency of sessions. The first session is also an opportunity for you to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process.

You do not need to prepare anything in advance. My intention is for the first session to feel supportive, respectful and contained.
