About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults who may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or stuck in emotional or relationship patterns that don’t fully make sense. Many people I work with have spent a long time putting others first and are now seeking space to focus on themselves. Therapy can offer a place to slow things down, reflect, and begin to understand what’s going on beneath the surface.
I have experience working with anxiety, low mood, stress, post-natal depression and bereavement, as well as supporting people through life transitions such as becoming a parent or experiencing loss. I also work with clients who wish to explore questions around identity, self-worth, or possible diagnoses including ADHD, autism, or borderline personality traits, particularly where these impact emotional wellbeing and relationships.
My approach is psychodynamic, meaning we explore how early experiences and past relationships may continue to shape how you feel and relate in the present. I aim to offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can bring whatever feels important to you, at your own pace.
Practice description
I am a qualified psychodynamic therapist with a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Practice from the University of Oxford.
I offer in-person therapy from Worcester House on Dragon Street in the centre of Petersfield, which is easily accessible by car, train, bus or on foot. I also offer online and telephone therapy, which can suit those with busy schedules or who prefer to work remotely. A free 20-minute consultation is available to discuss what you’re looking for and which option might work best for you.
My first session
If you’re interested in working together, we would begin with a free 20-minute consultation by phone or online. This offers a chance for us to get a sense of one another and for you to share, briefly, what has brought you to therapy. I will explain how I work, and we can talk about availability and next steps. You are welcome to ask any questions.
