About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP-registered psychodynamic counsellor based in Cheltenham and Lydney in the Forest of Dean, offering in-person and online therapy.
I work with adults who experience anxiety, feel stuck in life or relationships, or struggle to express their needs and boundaries. Many clients arrive not with one clear problem, but with a persistent sense of unease — overthinking, self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from themselves despite appearing capable on the outside.
In our work together, we take time to understand anxiety rather than fight it. By gently exploring what lies beneath it — often unspoken fear, anger, grief, or unmet needs — you can develop a clearer sense of yourself and a stronger inner voice.
I offer a steady, thoughtful and inclusive space, welcoming clients of all genders, sexualities and neurotypes.
Practice description
I trained over four years with Gloucestershire Counselling Services (BACP-accredited) and work within the BACP Ethical Framework. I am fully insured and DBS-checked.
My approach is psychodynamic, which means we pay attention to how early experiences and unconscious patterns shape your present emotions, relationships and sense of self. Rather than focusing only on symptom relief, we work toward deeper and more lasting change.
Alongside my counselling training, I hold a BSc in Nutrition and practiced as a Nutritionist for 15 years, which can be helpful if you are struggling with food, body image, or issues of control and self-worth.
I also bring lived experience of working as an escort over many years. This informs my work with particular sensitivity to shame, power, survival strategies, boundaries and agency. I am comfortable working with clients exploring intimacy, sexuality, identity, and experiences that may feel complex, marginalised or difficult to speak about elsewhere.
You may be navigating a life transition — becoming a parent, retiring, leaving home, or exploring your neurodivergence in a way that feels affirming and integrated. Whatever brings you here, I offer a calm and confidential space to think, feel and understand yourself more deeply.
