About me and my therapy practice

My approach is primarily person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert in your own experience. Rather than telling you what you should do or trying to fit you into a particular solution, I offer a supportive, honest and non-judgemental space where we can explore what is happening for you, at your pace.

I work collaboratively, taking time to understand you as an individual and what has brought you to therapy. Sometimes this may mean making sense of how you are feeling now; at other times, we may explore experiences, relationships, thoughts or patterns that have developed over time.

I believe therapy can be helpful not only when life feels overwhelming, but also when you simply feel stuck, disconnected or unsure of what needs to change.

My practice is shaped by R.U.N. – Reflect, Unlock, Nourish.

Reflect – creating space to understand what is really going on beneath the surface.

Unlock – exploring thoughts, feelings and patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

Nourish – developing greater self-understanding and finding healthier ways to move forward.

Where appropriate, I can also draw on CBT-informed techniques and practical tools, but these are used collaboratively and only where they feel helpful for you.

I don’t believe therapy should be about changing who you are. For me, it is about creating the space to understand yourself more fully, recognise what you need and explore what moving forward might look like for you.

Practice description

Coming to therapy can feel like a big step, particularly if you’re used to managing things on your own. You don’t need to have everything worked out before you begin, and you don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about.

I offer confidential online counselling for adults, providing a calm and supportive space to talk openly about whatever has brought you to therapy.

You might be experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, work-related pressure, low self-esteem, a significant life change, or simply a feeling that you’re not quite yourself. Sometimes there is a clear reason for seeking support; sometimes there isn’t. Both are okay.

Our sessions will be led by what feels important to you. I will listen, ask questions and help you explore your thoughts and feelings, without judgement or pressure to have all the answers.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative. You are not being told what to do, and I won’t assume that one approach works for everyone. We will work together to understand what you need and what may help.

Therapy isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes making meaningful changes means looking at things we have previously avoided, but you won’t have to navigate that process alone.

I work online via Zoom, offering the flexibility and privacy of accessing therapy from wherever you feel comfortable.

My aim is to provide a space where you can pause, reflect and be heard, while gradually developing a clearer understanding of yourself and what you want moving forward.

£60 per 50-minute session.

My first session

ONLINE ONLY

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, so I offer a free 20-minute introductory call before arranging your first full session.

This gives us an opportunity to briefly talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for and whether you feel I might be the right therapist for you. There is no obligation to continue.

If you decide you’d like to work with me, we can arrange your first 50-minute online session via Zoom.

Your first session is not about having to tell me everything or immediately finding solutions. We can start with whatever feels most important to you and take things at a pace that feels manageable.

I will spend time getting to know you, understanding what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with. You can ask questions too, and we can begin to think together about what you would like from our work.

There is no right or wrong way to begin therapy. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance – simply come as you are.
