About me and my therapy practice
I'm Nikki, an Integrative Therapist with over a decade of experience in Psychology. I offer a curious, collaborative, compassionate approach to client work.
I have completed a BSc in Psychology, followed by an MSc and a Doctorate, with a focus on improving psychological well-being through lifestyle interventions. I have specialist interests in life transitions and lifestyle behaviours, having published my work in this area.
My training and experience in Integrative Counselling mean I am able to bring a range of approaches to how I work with clients. This can include Relational, Self-psychology, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Existential, and Humanistic models to support clients in developing a stronger sense of self.
The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.
Practice description
I provide 1:1 psychological therapy and counselling sessions to clients anywhere in the UK via the remote platforms of Teams or Google Meet. A session lasts for one full hour.
My practice offers a collaborative space for you to explore your personal history, relationships, and emotions to gain clarity on the choices you make, chances you take, and navigate any changes that might follow. Together, we can uncover insights that allow for clearer choices and more aligned, authentic action.
My first session
I understand that starting therapy can be daunting, and so I offer the first 20-minute session free of charge. This allows us to get to know one another and explore how we might work together.
During this initial session, we will discuss what brings you to counselling, what you wish to gain from it, and any hopes or fears. Our first meeting is a time for you to experience what it feels like to be in session together. We will discuss if it feels like a good fit for you to proceed with regular sessions.
