About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Mika,
Are you struggling with overwhelming thoughts, anxiety, low mood or feeling stuck?
You may feel like your mind won't switch off, or that you're trying really hard to just get through the day.
I offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of what you're experiencing. I work integratively, drawing on CBT, mindfulness, and practical coping strategies to help you manage difficult thoughts, regulate emotions, and feel more grounded.
I have particular experience in supporting clients with anxiety, ADHD, depression and family-related issues. This can include feeling overwhelmed, struggling with self-confidence, navigating difficult family dynamics, or feeling stuck in unhelpful thoughts. I also recognise that neurodiversity and family life can bring unique challenges, and I work in a way that is flexible and tailored to your individual needs.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and student psychotherapist. My services include short-term and long-term therapy and support.
I offer face-to-face sessions at my private therapy room in North Manchester, as well as online and telephone sessions - making counselling accessible to all.

Practice description
You may be coming to counselling feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in mood, or struggling with low confidence. You might have a clear idea of what you would like support with, or you may not know where to start. There is no expectation of knowing where to begin; you don't have to have the right words or a clear goal - we can go at a pace that feels right for you and work things out together.
My first session
In your first session, we will explore what has brought you to counselling and what you are hoping to achieve or gain from therapy. You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels right for you at the time. I will also explain how I work, confidentiality, and provide practical details. There will be time for you to ask questions with no obligation to continue.
Many people feel nervous before their first session, and this is completely understandable. You are welcome to take your time and pause whenever you need.
