Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a qualified integrative practitioner, and my practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy draws from the therapeutic approaches of Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT). I have worked with people affected by Bereavement/ Grief/Complex Grief; Challenges with Cultural Diversity/Awareness/Competence; and Domestic Abuse. I have also worked extensively with clients from diverse cultures and religious backgrounds, as well as older adults with long-standing issues.
Sometimes what is going on for you may be overwhelming and perhaps too difficult to name. My experience enables me to work with you, as an individual, to explore and identify these challenges on your journey towards discovering a sense of wholeness.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental, warm and confidential space that enables us to create trust and gain the agency that helps to re-script your lived experience, as well as produce a restorative approach for the future.
My qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton, a level 4 in Counselling from Waverley Abbey College and a BA in Business Management from the University of Westminster.
Practice description
I offer weekly therapy sessions, as well as fortnightly sessions which last 50 minutes. I am available for long-term and returning clients.
Relational – I work with the belief that a genuine human connection is what holds the ability to heal. A partnership where the client and the therapist work together to achieve the goals and effect positive change.
Holistic – In addition to the parts that may feel broken or fragmented, I focus on the whole person, physical, social, emotional and spiritual, towards total well-being.
Integrative - My qualifications and counselling experience enable me to effectively integrate my work by applying a Person-Centred Approach with Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also adapt learning that enables us to co-create and seek to achieve the best therapeutic outcomes.
I offer an approach that is best suited to meet your needs, as I believe that we are all unique and each individual heals differently.
My first session
I appreciate that first sessions can be daunting, so we will begin by gently exploring what is happening in your life that has brought you to therapy now. In my assessment, I may ask you about your previous experience of therapy, and if relevant, we may talk about your past experiences.
Together, we can set goals and work towards positive change and a greater awareness and understanding of yourself. Nobody knows you better than you, so you decide what issues we delve into together. I will provide a safe, confidential space and appropriately adapt my approach to therapy to suit your needs.
If you would like to book an initial consultation or have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. I can offer a free 20-minute consultation. You can then ask any questions you may have to give us both an opportunity to see if we could work together.
