About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor offering online therapy to adults across the UK. I provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace.

My way of working is collaborative and tailored to each individual. I draw on person-centred, CBT-informed, and psychoanalytic approaches, recognising that no single model suits everyone. Together, we may explore patterns from past experiences, current challenges, emotional responses, and ways of understanding yourself more deeply.

I place strong importance on the therapeutic relationship, working with care, curiosity, and respect. Clients do not need to arrive with clear goals or solutions; therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what feels confusing or overwhelming.

I believe people have the capacity for growth and change, and my role is to support that process by offering a safe and containing environment, without pressure or expectation, where clients feel heard and understood.

Practice description

I run a small, independent counselling practice offering online therapy sessions. My practice is designed to be accessible, flexible, and supportive, allowing clients to attend sessions from a private space that feels comfortable for them.

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. Sessions are offered on a one-to-one basis and are tailored to each client’s needs and circumstances.

I am committed to working ethically and professionally, in line with the BACP Ethical Framework. I hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance and attend regular clinical supervision to support safe and reflective practice.

My practice aims to offer a calm and reliable space where clients can explore difficulties openly, develop insight, and work towards greater self-understanding and emotional wellbeing.

Clients can expect me to offer a respectful, compassionate, and confidential therapeutic relationship. I aim to provide a consistent and dependable space, where sessions begin and end on time and where clients are treated with care and professionalism.

I will listen without judgement, work collaboratively, and adapt my approach to suit each client’s needs. I will be honest about my limits of competence and will discuss referrals or additional support if needed.

I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework, including maintaining confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, and safeguarding responsibilities. Regular clinical supervision supports my ongoing reflective practice.

I welcome open communication and encourage clients to share feedback about how therapy feels for them, so we can review and adjust the work together when needed.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation, which takes place online. This provides an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what has brought you to counselling, and consider whether we feel comfortable working together. There is no obligation to continue after this session.

If you decide to proceed, the first full session will focus on contracting and beginning to explore your reasons for seeking therapy. We will discuss practical matters such as confidentiality, boundaries, session frequency, and any questions you may have about the counselling process.

The first session also allows space to begin talking about what feels most important for you, at a pace that feels right. There is no expectation to share more than you are comfortable with.
