About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Eve! In working with you I seek to create space where you feel seen, valued, respected and safe enough to explore life’s challenges freely, and without judgement. I aim to hold space for you, offering empathy, warmth and care. I will remain curious in wondering what’s happened to you, rather than assuming that anything is wrong with you. I will work with you to support the processing of your feelings. Greater understanding of self can bring clarity, facilitate personal growth, facilitate change, and develop resilience.
I’m a qualified BACP registered person-centred counsellor with specific experience of working in a trauma-informed way with a domestic violence & abuse charity, as well as working with patients and families within a national cancer charity.
I am also a Chartered Member of the CIPD, specializing in training, coaching and therapeutic tutoring for those struggling with leadership, management, learning, and other career challenges.
Practice description
What can you expect from counselling with me?
I value diversity and anti-oppressive practice, always mindful of developing equal, mutually respectful professional relationships.
I am happy to work with all presenting problems and challenges. No challenge is too big or too trivial: if it matters to you, it matters! Nevertheless, my previous professional and lived experience of working with understanding ethnic identity, oppression and discrimination, education (teaching, student life/exams), career change, elder care and menopause, particularly enhance my practice.
I am fully insured and have an Enhanced DBS certificate.
My first session
Our first session consists of a free 20 minute informal telephone discussion where I can answer questions you may have about the counselling process: no question is too silly.
Importantly, this interaction can help us both to work out whether we feel that a positive and productive professional relationship might be able to develop.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Eve! In working collaboratively with you I seek to create training sessions and programmes which promote good mental health practices within organisations across the private and public sectors.
I have over 25 years of experience in working both with private sector and educational organisations and secondary school aged young people.
I am equally comfortable when speaking to small or large groups.
I aim for my design and delivery to ensure that all participants feel seen, valued, respected and safe enough to explore life’s challenges freely and without judgement. I aim to hold space for participants, offering empathy, warmth and care. I will remain curious, not seeking to constantly hold the place of 'expert', but to facilitate learning with evidence-based information, confidence and professional credibility.
I lecture and tutor within the FE sector, delivering counselling skills courses.
I also have a PGCE and an MA in Learning and teaching.
