About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Person-Centred Therapist with a passion for supporting individuals in their journey towards personal growth and emotional well-being. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and respect for the uniqueness of each person. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace.
Alongside my Person-Centred training, I have studied a range of therapeutic modalities, including elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Integrative Counselling. This allows me to adapt my approach to suit the individual needs of my clients, integrating techniques that can help facilitate positive change.
I hold a Postgraduate Degree in Counselling and Positive Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Counselling, which underpin my understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of mental health and therapy. In addition, I am fully registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and hold a DBS certificate, ensuring that I comply with all professional and legal standards related to confidentiality and safeguarding.
My aim as a therapist is to provide a compassionate, collaborative, and supportive environment in which you can feel heard and valued. Whether you are facing challenges with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or general life stress, I offer a warm and thoughtful space to help you navigate these difficulties.
I am committed to continuous professional development, ensuring that I stay updated on the latest research and practices in psychology and therapy. My practice is designed to meet the needs of individuals seeking a supportive, ethical, and holistic approach to mental health.
Practice description
I noticed that seeking therapy can be a significant decision and I do not presume to know how you feel or what you are experiencing, but I can promise that my approach is rooted in professionalism, integrity, and a deep respect for your unique journey.
As a Person-Centred Therapist, my priority is to offer a safe and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges without fear of judgment. I believe that each person is the expert on their own life, and I am here to facilitate the process of understanding, growth, and healing—whatever that may look like for you. Whether the work is challenging or rewarding, I will be with you every step of the way, ensuring a supportive and consistent presence.
My practice is built on the highest professional standards. I draw upon my qualifications and experience in Person-Centred Therapy, Positive Psychology, and various other modalities to offer a tailored approach that best supports your needs. My role is to be here for you, without assumption, and to help you explore and address whatever you choose to bring into our sessions.
I offer both face-to-face and online therapy sessions to ensure that I can accommodate your preferences. The process is client-led, meaning I follow your pace, and my aim is always to empower you to find your own path forward.
If you feel ready to begin, I am here to support you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss how we can work together.
My first session
As part of my commitment to providing a high-quality, professional therapeutic experience, I offer an initial 30-minute consultation free of charge. During this session, we will review the essential details of our work together, including the therapy contract, confidentiality, safeguarding, and the procedures in place to ensure a secure and supportive environment. I will provide you with a comprehensive folder containing all relevant information, so you have clear, written guidelines to refer to throughout our time together. This will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions and make sure you're fully informed and comfortable before proceeding.
For the first session only, I offer two flexible options:
1-hour session: You will pay for 30 minutes, as the first 30 minutes of the initial consultation are free.
1.5-hour session: You will pay for a full hour of therapy, as the first 30 min are free.
Both options are designed to accommodate your needs and ensure that you receive the right level of support. My aim is to provide a space where you feel confident and safe, from the very beginning, with every session thoughtfully structured to maximize the therapeutic benefit.
I take great pride in offering a service that is both professional and tailored to you. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the specifics of our sessions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to welcoming you to my practice and providing the highest level of care and support on your journey.
