Availability

I work flexible hours and include evenings and weekends.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory phone call. This is an opportunity to introduce ourselves, chat about what has brought you to counselling and discuss availability. I can answer any questions you have to make sure I’m the right counsellor for you.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Tracy, a qualified person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist. I provide online and telephone sessions so you can explore what’s going on for you from the comfort of your own surroundings.

Alongside private practice, I have worked in education as a student counsellor for young adults and as a counsellor supporting staff. With over 15 years’ experience working in educational settings, I understand first-hand the demands that can exist within this environment.

I have supported young people and adults with anxiety, low mood, stress and burnout, relationship and family challenges, trauma, identity issues and neurodiversity. This includes people with, or in the process of, an ADHD, Autism or AuDHD diagnosis. I provide a safe and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences and together, we can consider strategies to support you in day-to-day life.

I have also supported people navigating complex health diagnoses, either for themselves or for a loved one, including those who have been bereaved. I understand the benefit of having someone who truly listens and can support you through your emotions with compassion and care.

Taking the first step to reach out for support is often the hardest – well done! If you’d like to explore whether we could work together then why not give me a call. The introductory phone call is free and gives you the opportunity to decide whether you’d like to arrange a session.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Practice description

I offer telephone and online counselling, allowing me to work with clients wherever you are in the UK. This means you can explore your thoughts and feelings from the comfort and familiarity of your own surroundings. Sessions are open-ended, meaning you can choose how long you would like to continue in counselling.

How I work

I believe the relationship between client and counsellor is key to effective therapy. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and understood, so we can build a trusting therapeutic relationship. As someone who has benefitted from therapy myself, I understand how important it is to feel at ease with your counsellor.

My core training is person-centred, which means I value your perspective and work alongside you to understand how your experiences have shaped you. Life can be complicated, and at times we may feel out of step with the world. I work with warmth and honesty to build connection and where helpful, offer a gentle challenge to support reflection and growth. When appropriate, a gentle sense of humour can also have a place in our sessions. Whatever you’re facing, I’m here to support you in making sense of your experience and finding a way forward.

My first session

After the introductory phone call, the first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other better. I’ll begin by providing an overview of what you can expect from me as your counsellor and discuss any questions you might have.

We can then talk about what you want to achieve from counselling and set some counselling aims, but don’t worry if these change over time. My counselling contract is open-ended so you can have as many or as few sessions as you need.

My goal is to provide you with a safe, supportive space where you can unpack what’s going on for you. I want you to feel valued, respected and heard throughout our work together.
