With 16 years of experience in the health and social care sector—spanning the NHS, residential care, and private practice—I bring extensive knowledge of working with individuals to promote health and welbeing. About My Practice
I am an Integrative Psychodynamic Counsellor and the Founding Director of ARC (Addiction Recovery Counselling). With over 16 years of experience in adult social care, the NHS, and private practice, I provide a safe, ethical, and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their internal world and the patterns that may be holding them back.
My approach is rooted in Psychodynamic theory, which means we work together to understand how conscious and unconscious processes—often shaped by past experiences—impact your current relationships, self-worth, and mental health. I have extensive experience working with:
Addiction and Recovery (supporting transitions toward long-term change)
Trauma and Relationship Difficulties
Anxiety and Depression
Issues of Identity and Self-Worth
Bereavement and Loss

What to Expect
Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting. My goal is to build a therapeutic alliance based on trust and empathy. In our sessions.
We will look at your life "logically and fairly," helping you untangle complex emotions and develop the resilience needed for lasting growth. Whether you are looking for short-term support for a specific crisis or longer-term work to explore deeper-seated patterns,
First Session
Our initial consultation is an opportunity for us to meet and see if we are a good fit. We will discuss what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and any questions you may have about the way I work. There is no pressure to "know all the answers" right away; it is simply a space for us to begin the conversation.
