About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, confidential, safe space without judgement where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in your own time and in your own way. You will be met with compassion and be supported as you move towards greater clarity.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, counselling offers an empathic space to consider what matters most to you.
While we cannot change the past, we can change our relationship with it. Through untangling your feelings and thoughts, we can create a space for meaningful shifts towards a fuller understanding of yourself and a life that aligns with you. There is no diagnosis or analysis – only reflection and discovery.
You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need a space where you can begin.
I bring both professional training and personal insight to my work as a counsellor. From my own counselling journey, I understand how daunting - and sometimes painful - it can feel. I approach each person’s unique life journey with care, empathy, and deep a respect for what it means to be human.
If you're curious about counselling or wondering whether it's right for you, I warmly invite you to reach out; you can find more information about my practice on my website www.every1counselling.com
Practice description
At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for your individuality and lived experience. You lead the process, choosing what feels important to explore, while we work at a pace that feels right for you.
I practise from a Person-Centred therapy approach, which recognises that you are the expert on your own life and that everyone holds the potential for growth and healing. There is no diagnosis or analysis – only reflection and discovery.
I’ve had the honour of working with individuals from a wide range of lived experiences, which has deepened my understanding of the complexities of the human experience.
I’m proud to work with clients of all backgrounds, cultures, sexualities, gender identities, and life experiences.
Although I am a Person-Centred counsellor, I also draw on additional therapeutic perspectives to ensure my support is responsive to your individual needs.
I am committed to providing a compassionate and supportive space for those seeking a greater understanding of self, connection, and healing in their lives. Working with integrity, curiosity, and care, in a way that centres around you, I believe that meaningful change begins when we feel truly seen and heard.
My first session
- I will explain more about how I work and what sort of counsellor I am
- It is an opportunity to ask questions and hopefully gain some reassurances
- We will discuss and agree the way we will work together
- You can share with me why you have come to counselling
Note - I understand that working with a counsellor is a deeply personal experience, and finding someone who feels like the right fit is important. That’s why I offer a free, no obligation, confidential 20-minute introduction chat - an opportunity for us to talk, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you before booking a session
