About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I am a registered integrative counsellor. I work in person in West London with adults and young people offering a safe, confidential space for you to explore your concerns and emotional difficulties. I also offer online counselling for those unable to come in person for practical or preference reasons.

Counselling offers an opportunity to talk to a trained professional about current issues or elements of your past that may be impacting you now. I offer a confidential, non judgemental space and will be led by what you want to explore.

I don't believe counselling is just for times of crisis but is also useful for exploring areas where you may feel stuck and can help with understanding difficult emotions or relationships that you are navigating.

Practice description

Integrative counselling means I draw on a range of theories (including but not limited to person-centred, behavioural, psychodynamic and attachment models) to support you and I can offer help with issues including stress, anxiety, trauma and relationship issues.

In addition to my private practice I continue to work in voluntary sector and have experience with adults and young people from 11 years old. The work I have undertaken has included counselling for grief, depression, self-harm and domestic abuse. I welcome and work with a diverse range of clients from different cultural backgrounds and the LGBTQ+ community.  I am experienced in working with autistic persons and those living with ADHD.

I have a Diploma Therapeutic Counselling and as a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) I am committed to working to their ethical standards. I am curious and committed to my own learning and continued professional development.

My first session

The most important ingredient for successful therapy is the working relationship that develops between you and your therapist. I offer an initial free 20-minute conversation either by phone or zoom. This will be a chance for us to get a sense of each other. I will answer any questions you may have and will give you an opportunity to help me understand why you have chosen to seek therapy at this time. There is absolutely no obligation to book therapy with me after this conversation. We can also cover practical issues such as timing and availability.
