About me and my therapy practice
I’m a psychodynamic therapist and counsellor working full time with adults. I have a particular interest in supporting people living with depression and those carrying the impact of relational or childhood trauma, including complex PTSD. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or afraid that their emotions are “too much.” Some have felt dismissed or misunderstood by previous therapists. If this is your experience, you are welcome here.
I also work with people navigating coercive control, narcissistic abuse, difficult or confusing relationships, and long standing patterns such as people pleasing, emotional withdrawal, or feeling responsible for others. These experiences often stem from early relational environments, and they can be explored safely in therapy.
My approach is warm, steady and relational. I offer a non judgmental space where you can speak freely and begin to explore the parts of your story that have felt too painful or confusing to approach alone. I believe that the patterns we struggle with in adulthood often have roots in earlier experiences, and that lasting change becomes possible when these are explored with compassion and curiosity.
I work predominantly online with clients across the UK, and also offer face to face sessions from my practice in Heathfield, East Sussex.
Practice description
People come to me for many reasons — depression, relational or childhood trauma, coercive control, narcissistic abuse, relationship difficulties, or long standing patterns such as people pleasing, caretaking or feeling responsible for others. You don’t need a clear diagnosis or a neatly formed story; many clients arrive simply with a sense that something isn’t right or that life feels harder than it should.
My way of working is steady, collaborative and relational. I offer a reliable space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels manageable. I work psychodynamically, which means we pay attention to your past, your relationships, and the patterns that repeat in your life — including those that may show up between us. These patterns often formed for understandable reasons, and together we can begin to understand them and create room for change.
Over time, this process can help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and better able to navigate your life and relationships. I offer face to face appointments from a private garden office in Heathfield, East Sussex, with free on street parking nearby.
My first session
Before we begin therapy, I offer a free 20–30-minute consultation, which will be done online or via telephone. This is a chance for us to meet, talk briefly about what’s bringing you to therapy, and get a sense of one another. You can ask any questions you may have, and we can explore whether working together feels right. There is no pressure to commit — it’s simply an opportunity to see how it feels to sit with me and whether the space feels safe and supportive.
If we decide to continue, our first full session is a gentle, exploratory conversation. You can share what feels difficult or confusing, and I’ll ask some questions to understand your history and current situation. Many people arrive unsure where to begin or worried that their story is too complicated — this is completely okay. You don’t need to disclose anything before you feel ready.
These early meetings help us establish a steady, collaborative way of working that feels containing for you. If it feels right for both of us, we’ll discuss how ongoing therapy might support you and what you hope to gain from the work. I offer long term psychotherapy or short term counselling, which we can explore together in your consultation.
If you are attending face to face sessions, free on street parking is available close to my therapy room.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic therapist and counsellor working full-time with individual adult clients.
My approach is warm, relational and non-judgmental. I believe our current persistent difficulties have their roots in the past, and only when these are explored with compassion and curiosity to understand their origins and why they were necessary will real, long-lasting change occur. The most important factor in successful Psychotherapy is the relationship between therapist and client. I will provide you with a containing environment where you will feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotional concerns, and to begin approaching the past with my continued support.
You might know why you are seeking therapy, or the problem may not be so clear. I have personal and clinical experience with a range of presentations.
