About me and my therapy practice

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted? Perhaps you're managing on the outside while struggling on the inside, or finding yourself repeating the same patterns and wondering why things no longer feel manageable.

Together, we can explore what's happening, build emotional resilience, and find ways to move forward that feel right for you.

I am an integrative therapist, drawing on approaches including CBT, Transactional Analysis, and other therapeutic modalities. Because everyone is different, I tailor my approach to your individual needs rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution.

I offer both short-term support and longer-term therapy and have a particular interest in working with neurodiverse clients and those experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and family challenges.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if it's your first time. In our first session, we'll gently explore what has brought you here and think together about what you need from therapy.

If you'd like an initial, no-pressure conversation to see whether we're the right fit, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Practice description

I currently practice from two welcoming and comfortable locations: House Seven in Tynemouth and The Grainger Suite in Gosforth. Both spaces provide a calm, private, and relaxed environment where you can feel safe to talk openly.

Both venues are conveniently located close to metro stations—House Seven is a short walk from Tynemouth Metro Station, and The Grainger Suite is near Regent Centre Metro Station—making them easily accessible from across Newcastle and North Tyneside.

My first session

I offer a free, no-obligation introductory telephone call, giving you the opportunity to get to know me, ask any questions, and decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. Finding someone you feel comfortable with is an important first step in therapy.

During our first session, I will listen carefully to what has brought you to therapy and explore what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we can discuss the therapeutic approach that best suits your needs, as well as any short-term and long-term goals you may have.

We will also look at practical arrangements, including the frequency and duration of sessions, tailoring these to your individual circumstances. Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and can take place either face-to-face or online.

As we begin working together, I will gently gather some information about your background, life experiences, and personal history to help me gain a deeper understanding of what you are currently experiencing. This enables us to create a supportive and personalised approach to your therapy journey
