Availability
I currently have availability for new clients.
My practice hours are Monday to Saturday, with appointments available from 9:00am through to early evening. I aim to offer a range of daytime and later sessions to accommodate different working patterns and caring responsibilities.
Sessions are offered weekly at a regular, consistent time wherever possible, as this helps provide stability and continuity within the therapeutic work. I also understand that life circumstances can change and I will always try to be flexible where I can.
If I am on annual leave or temporarily unavailable, I will inform you in advance and, where appropriate, can suggest alternative support options during that time.
I aim to respond to new enquiries within 48 hours on working days. Messages received over weekends or bank holidays will be replied to as soon as possible on my return.
If you are unsure whether my availability would suit you, you are very welcome to get in touch and we can discuss what might work best.
About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor, drawing primarily on Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Psychodynamic approaches. This means I adapt my work to you as an individual, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all model of therapy.
At the heart of my work is a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental relationship. I aim to provide a safe and steady space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, patterns and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
Alongside private practice, I have experience working in GP-referred counselling services, supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds. This has given me experience working with both short-term, focused work and longer-term, exploratory therapy.
I recognise that people come to counselling for many different reasons, sometimes due to a clear, immediate issue and sometimes with a more general sense that something doesn’t feel quite right. Both are equally valid starting points.
Practice description
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including (but not limited to):
• Anxiety and worry
• Low mood and depression
• Stress and burnout
• Self-esteem and confidence issues
• Relationship and family difficulties
• Life transitions and identity questions
• Loss, grief and bereavement
• Trauma and difficult past experiences
• Feeling stuck, overwhelmed or emotionally disconnected
• Eating disorders and body image
You do not need to have a clear label or diagnosis to begin therapy. We can take time together to understand what is happening for you and what you would like to change or make sense of.
My first session
Before starting therapy, I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, get a sense of how I work and decide whether you feel comfortable moving forward.
We will then agree a counselling contract covering confidentiality, boundaries, fees, cancellations and expectations, so the therapeutic relationship feels clear and safe from the outset.
