About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in supporting adults experiencing grief, bereavement and loss, including recent loss, sudden death, anticipatory grief, and long-standing or complicated grief. I also work with trauma connected to loss.

Losing someone can feel disorientating, isolating and overwhelming. You may feel stuck, numb, angry, guilty or unsure how to move forward. I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can talk openly about your experience without pressure, judgement, or expectation to “move on”.

I believe grief is not something to be fixed or rushed. It is a deeply personal process. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of your feelings, understand your reactions, and gradually find a way to live alongside your loss.

I have supported many clients through bereavement, including loss of parents, partners, siblings, friends and pets, as well as those caring for loved ones with dementia or terminal illness.

Practice description

Grief does not follow a timetable. When loss disrupts life, therapy can provide steady, professional support to help you cope day-to-day while gently processing what has happened.

I offer a confidential, non-judgemental environment where you can safely express difficult emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, confusion or relief. Together we work at your pace, focusing on what feels most important for you.

Support is tailored to you as an individual, respecting your personal history, coping style, beliefs, and relationship with the person who has died.

My first session

Our first session is a supportive conversation where I get to know you and what has brought you to therapy. We’ll explore what you’re experiencing, what you need support with, and what you hope therapy might provide.

There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to. By the end of the session we’ll agree together how we might work and what would feel most helpful for you.
