About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults experiencing grief, loss, anxiety, overwhelm, trauma and life transitions. You may be struggling with persistent worry, overthinking, low mood, relationship difficulties, stress, loss of confidence, or feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward.
Alongside my work with anxiety and emotional wellbeing, I have a particular interest and expertise in supporting people experiencing grief, bereavement and loss. This includes recent loss, sudden death, anticipatory grief, and long-stnading or complicated grief, as well as trauma connected to loss.
I also work with non-death losses (sometimes called living losses), including:
- Relationship breakdown, separation or divorce
- Loss of health or mobility through illness, accident, disability or ageing
- Loss of a job, career, or financial stability
- Loss of home or familiar environment
- Changes in identity, role or sense of self.
I believe that emotional difficulties often make sense when understood in the context of our life experiences, relationships and losses. My role is not to tell you what to do or rush you towards solutions, but to walk alongside you as you make sense of what is happening, develop greater self-understanding and finda way forward that feels right for you.
Practice description
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving us disconnected from ourselves and those around us. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or carrying difficulties that have built up over time, I offer a calm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
I have supported many clients through bereavement, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges and periods of significant change. Whatever brings you to therapy, you will be met with warmth, curiosity and respect.
My first session
Our first session is a supportive conversation where I get to know you and what has brought you to therapy. We’ll explore what you’re experiencing, what you need support with, and what you hope therapy might provide.
There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to. By the end of the session we’ll agree together how we might work and what would feel most helpful for you.
Please do get in touch if you would like to have an intro call.
