About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered psychotherapist working with adults and young people (16+), both in-person and online. I aim to provide a warm, safe and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or lonely - even when things appear fine on the surface. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, or relationship difficulties, or perhaps you feel stuck, burnt out, or unsure of how to move forward. Therapy can offer a chance to pause, reflect, and begin untangling what you’ve been carrying. I’m here to walk alongside you and support you to build self-acceptance, strengthen resilience and move towards meaningful change.

My approach is relational and trauma informed, and I’m mindful of how past experiences may still be impacting you today. We work gently and collaboratively, so you remain in control of the process. Throughout our time together my work will be guided by empathy, integrity and a commitment to build a trusting relationship where you feel safe to be your authentic self.

Practice description

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on a range of approaches to create a way of working that feels right for you. This might mean making space to explore your past, developing practical tools to manage anxiety in the present, or simply having somewhere to talk openly.

For me, counselling is about creating a safe, confidential space where all parts of you are welcome without fear of judgement. Together, we can explore the challenges you face while also recognising, valuing, and building on your unique strengths.

Alongside my private practice, I work in counselling agency settings supporting adults and young adults with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, abuse and life transitions.

My first session

Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, which is why I offer a free 20-minute introductory call. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and get a sense of whether my way of working feels right for you.

If you decide to go ahead, our first session is a gentle starting point where we can begin to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to therapy. At the end of this session, if we both feel that we’re a good fit and you would like to continue, we can arrange ongoing sessions together.

I typically work with clients on a weekly basis, either short- or long-term. However, I understand that everyone’s circumstances are different, and I aim to offer some flexibility around the frequency and timing of sessions where possible.

For young people under 18, a parent or guardian’s consent is needed to begin counselling, and I am happy to discuss any questions about this process.

About me and my therapy practice

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, or relationship difficulties, or you might simply feel stuck or overwhelmed and want to understand yourself better.

Therapy can offer a chance to pause, reflect, and begin untangling what you’ve been carrying. It can help you move from surviving to truly living. Together, we can explore patterns that keep you stuck in over-responsibility, self-doubt, or burnout, and support you to set boundaries without guilt, say no without shame, and begin trusting your own voice again. I work alongside you at a pace that feels right, with steadiness and curiosity, as we make sense of things together.

My approach is relational and trauma-informed, which means I prioritise creating a safe, respectful and compassionate space where you feel heard and understood. I’m mindful of how past experiences may still be impacting you today, and we work gently and collaboratively, so you remain in control of the process.
