About me and my therapy practice
Hi I'm Vanya, a person-centred Counsellor. I offer safe, non-judgemental space to help you talk about what matters to you. I can support you to look inwards in a way that feels right for you and is at your own pace. Please note, I do not offer advice and cannot offer solutions to problems directly, I can help you find your own way of working things out and coping.
I have worked in a corporate job for many years and understand the stressors and pressures employees can experience. If this is something that you find difficult to deal with, I can help you work on it, create resilience and build confidence in yourself.
I also have experience working for the NHS and have seen the stress levels staff can be under. Self-care is a must and having the right therapist to support you through your journey is an important part of it.
However, regardless of what industry and background you come from, you are welcome to drop me a message, if you need support.
Practice description
As a person-centred Counsellor I offer non-directive therapy that helps you lead the sessions in your own way and a pace that suits you. I can help you look into how your own experiences affect you and what you feel is the right direction for you, that can lead to growing self-esteem and self-awareness.
I offer both short-term and long-term sessions for adults. I work remotely, both online and over the telephone. I can help with a variety of issues so please get in touch to arrange a free of charge 15 min discussion to find out if we can work together.
My first session
The first session is an assessment/ introduction session:
A contract is usually sent to you via email prior to your first appointment and we can discuss any questions you may have during the first session. We also talk about your goals and expectations for therapy.
We do an assessment and discuss any important details, such as medical or mental health history.
This step is important to help identity if we are a good fit and can work together.
