About me and my therapy practice
You may be coming to counselling feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure where to begin. You may be feeling anxious, depressed, or isolated. You don’t need to have the right words – we can start wherever you are.
I am a qualified BACP registered counsellor offering a caring, safe, thoughtful space for you. My work is grounded in warmth, respect, and a belief in meeting people exactly where they are.
I started my counselling career working across two hospice settings, and have substantial professional experience supporting clients through bereavement and loss, those with carer responsibilites, and those living with terminal or life-limiting conditions. This has given me a deep understanding of grief in its many forms – including the grief that accompanies long-term illness, changed identities, and the challenges of navigating a life that looks different from what you had imagined.
Alongside my professional training, I also bring lived experience of chronic illness (including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) and neurodivergence. This informs a way of working that is flexible, non-pathologising, and sensitive to your individual needs around pace, energy, communication, and sensory experience.
I am trained in various therapeutic approaches, so I am able to adapt my approach to suit your individual needs. I work relationally and collaboratively, believing that the therapeutic relationship is at the very heart of effective counselling.
I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can talk openly about what feels heavy, confusing, or painful – at your own pace, and in your own way.
