Availability
I currently have availability for new clients and offer online or phone sessions throughout the week. My practice hours are generally weekday evenings and weekend mornings. This may support clients for fitting therapy around other responsibilities. If you have particular scheduling needs, feel free to mention them when you get in touch and we can explore what might work. If I am due to take planned time off, I will let clients know well in advance and we can discuss how to manage this together. I aim to respond to all enquiries within one working day.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer online and phone sessions and I work in a trauma‑informed way, at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Together, we can explore your needs and hopes and how therapy can support you.
I work integratively, drawing on cognitive‑behavioural, existential, systemic, and psychodynamic approaches. This means I adapt the therapy to you as a person and your individual needs.
I am a trained cognitive-behavioural therapist and a trainee counselling psychologist (existential focus) with over decade of child protection and safeguarding experience.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am conducting doctoral research into harm in psychological therapies, which informs my commitment to safe, ethical, and transparent practice.
Practice description
I offer a calm, confidential space to explore whatever is happening in your life, whether you’re feeling low, stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed or wanting to understand yourself more deeply.
People often come to me during times of change or uncertainty or when old patterns become unsustainable. I'm interested in the immediate challenges you're facing and the themes beneath them.
I bring over a decade of experience in safeguarding practice which informs my steady, calm, and grounded presence in the therapy room to ensure our work together feels safe and containing.
My integrative approach allows us to work with thoughts, feelings, behaviours, within the broader context of your life story and your relationships with yourself and with others.
I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported to make sense of your experiences, and develop insight, resilience, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
My first session
I offer a free 15‑minute initial consultation by phone or video. This is not a therapy session, but a chance for us to meet, talk briefly about what’s bringing you to therapy, and consider whether we feel like a good fit. You’re welcome to ask any questions about how I work, my availability, fees, or what to expect from therapy. There is no pressure to make any decisions during the call. You are welcome to take time after the consultation to reflect on whether you’d like to proceed. Finding the right therapist is important, and I’m committed to helping you make an informed choice. If we decide to continue, the first full session is charged at my standard rate.
