About me and my therapy practice

As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I offer a warm, reflective, and confidential space for adults who want to better understand themselves and the difficulties they’re facing. My work is grounded in the belief that our early experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns shape how we feel and relate in the present. By exploring these patterns together, therapy can support greater self-awareness, emotional clarity, and meaningful change.

I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy and have experience working with both short-term and open-ended therapy. I support clients presenting with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement, addiction, relationship difficulties, and complex emotional transitions, with a particular sensitivity to women navigating different life stages.

My approach is relational and collaborative. I place importance on the therapeutic relationship itself, paying attention to what unfolds between us as a way of understanding how you experience yourself and others. I aim to work at a pace that feels right for you, creating a space that feels safe, steady, and respectful, where difficult experiences can be explored without judgement.

Alongside clinical work, I have experience working within multidisciplinary settings and supporting people in emotional crisis. I am committed to upholding ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality, and offering thoughtful, compassionate care that supports clients’ mental, emotional, and social wellbeing.

Whether you are seeking to address recurring patterns, navigate life changes, or gain deeper self-understanding, therapy with me is a supportive space to reflect, process, and explore ways to live more authentically.

Practice description

I offer one-to-one psychodynamic therapy for adults, both in-person and online. Sessions are 50 minutes and held weekly, providing a consistent space for reflection and growth.

My approach is tailored to you; to help you get a sense of how I work, I offer an initial phone consultation at no cost. This gives us a chance to introduce ourselves, discuss any questions you have, and consider whether therapy feels like the right step for you.

I aim to create a supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns at a pace that feels safe and manageable. We can work in a short-term, focused way or engage in longer-term therapy, depending on what feels most helpful.

Life can bring challenges, transitions, or recurring patterns that feel hard to navigate alone. In therapy, we work together to understand these experiences, uncover underlying emotions, and reflect on how past experiences shape your present. My goal is to support you in finding clarity, developing coping strategies, and building a stronger sense of self and connection in your life.

My first session

Following the phone consultation, I allocate 60mins for the initial session. This is so we can talk through your personal history and your reasons for seeking therapy, and begin to shape the work together.
