About me and my therapy practice

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor offering a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace and in your own way. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when they are met with genuine understanding, acceptance, and respect.

My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I work alongside you to help you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, supporting you to reconnect with your inner resources and strengths. I see therapy as a partnership, where your voice, values, and lived experience are central.

I do not diagnose, judge, or tell you what you should do. Instead, I walk alongside you, offering deep listening, empathy, and a supportive presence, so that you can make sense of your inner world and reconnect with your own strengths, values, and sense of self.

I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, identity issues, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with come feeling stuck, unheard, or disconnected from themselves. Together, we create a safe and compassionate space where deeper self-awareness, clarity, and self-acceptance can emerge.

Clients often describe me as calm, intuitive, and deeply present. I offer a space where you do not need to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have all the answers. You are welcome exactly as you are.

My aim is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself, so that you can move forward with greater confidence, emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of direction in your life.

Practice description

I'm an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist who undertakes continuous development & training. My initial training was in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy

People often come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. You may be carrying emotional pain, unresolved experiences, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, or a general sense that something in your life is not quite right. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming. You are welcome exactly as you are.

My work is grounded in the belief that every individual has an inherent capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when they are met with genuine understanding, acceptance, and respect.

I offer both online and in-person sessions, providing flexible access to support in a way that fits your life. All sessions are confidential and conducted in line with professional and ethical standards.

I work within the BACP ethical framework, attend ongoing professional development and undertake regular supervision in order to maintain the professional standards required to practise safely, effectively and professionally.

My first session

Our first session is a gentle opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to begin sharing what has brought you to counselling. There is no pressure to say anything you are not ready to share. We will move at your pace, focusing on creating a safe, respectful, and supportive space where you feel heard and understood. I will explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and invite you to talk about what feels most important to you. The session is about building trust and helping you feel comfortable to continue.
