About me and my therapy practice

Your story matters.

I am committed to working with you.

Creating a safe, supportive space where you can be heard, understood, and empowered.

Grounded in the core humanistic values of empathy, authenticity, and respect for your unique lived experience, my approach adapts to meet you, ‘where you are’.

I support clients through everyday life challenges as well as more complex emotional experiences, offering a thoughtful and understanding space to explore whatever feels important to you.

I use a blend of therapeutic approaches, and we adjust together as your needs evolve, always prioritising understanding, empathy, and empowerment. My training in humanistic psychology enriches my humanistic counselling, helping me identify patterns and possibilities that allow for deeper relational exploration, clarity, and self-discovery.

When we work together, the focus gently shifts from feeling overwhelmed to feeling more manageable, moving at a pace you set while we name what matters most. Our work may include you 'checking in’ to see how we are progressing, deep exploration, and practical interventions to try between sessions. I use gentle curiosity alongside science to support you in navigating anxiety, grief, mood shifts, relationship stresses, and the wider demands of life.

I have extensive experience working with young adults, supporting them through the distinct challenges that can arise during this stage of life, including identity, life transitions, academic or career pressures, relationships, and emotional wellbeing. I also work with adults, offering the same collaborative and supportive therapeutic space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and move toward meaningful change.

Clear professional boundaries and confidentiality are central to my practice, helping to create a relationship built on trust, safety, and respect, where you can speak openly and feel supported.

Practice description

Having lived overseas, I bring cultural awareness and sensitivity to my work, valuing the richness that diverse backgrounds and perspectives bring to the counselling relationship. I strive to understand how culture, identity, and environment shape your experiences and to offer a space where these are respected and explored.

My previous career as a professional photographer continues to inform my practice, bringing a creative and attentive perspective that values nuance, observation, and the stories that often exist beneath the surface. My passion for counselling, motivates me to continually develop my skills and engage in ongoing professional growth. I believe that meaningful therapeutic work is rooted not only in professional knowledge, but also in reflection, self-awareness, and a commitment to evolving alongside my clients.

My first session

If you choose to experience the  unique floating sanctuary of the 'Moon River Boat'.  You can experience  stepping off the riverbank and leave the noise of the world behind. This unique sanctuary of a working boat on the gentle currents of the River Thames, allows  the healing rhythm of the water to set the tone for your journey. Exploring a profound sense of freedom that comes from  being adrift;  you are physically and mentally distanced from life’s stressors. Surrounded by the calming ebb and flow of nature, you can feel  a safe, private haven to pause, breathe, and focus entirely on yourself, finding clarity in the tranquillity  of the river.

Alternatively we can work together in one of the beautiful rooms at a therapy center in Henley-on-Thames, where the room's are  designed to support focused, confidential therapeutic work in a calm and welcoming setting
