About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
I completely understand the courage it can take to make those first steps in reaching out for support and how daunting it may feel, because I’ve been there too.
Through my private practice, Kind Mind Counselling, as a qualified person-centred therapist I offer a safe, empathetic, non-judgemental space, where we can explore your experiences together at your own pace.
I provide a calm, supportive environment where you can speak openly and truly feel heard. And if there are times when words are hard to find or you simply don’t feel like talking, that’s perfectly okay too.
People seek therapy for many different reasons. There are times when life feels so difficult that simply getting through the day can seem a challenge. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or struggling with a sense of hopelessness, and those emotions can affect every part of your life. Or perhaps you can’t quite put your feelings into words but know that something feels out of balance and you no longer want to face it on your own.
You may be coping with the loss of someone important, living with the impact of trauma, or carrying feelings of anger that you haven’t had a safe space to express. You might be experiencing loneliness, uncertainty, fear, or vulnerability, and perhaps feel disconnected from the person you once were.
I see counselling as being much like any strong and meaningful relationship—it is a collaborative and evolving process built on genuine trust. When that trust is established within the therapeutic process, we create the foundation for exploring the issues that are causing distress or making life feel difficult.
My role is not to fix you, but to walk alongside you, at your own pace with no expectations or pressure, offering support, insight, and a space for exploration & reflection as you move toward greater clarity, self-understanding, trust in yourself & wellbeing.
Practice description
I work with both young people and adults, offering both short- term and long- term counselling tailored to your individual needs. Sessions are available online, by telephone, or in- person. Home visits can also be arranged for a slightly increased fee.
In- person sessions are held in a welcoming accessible space in Uckfield town centre, within close walking distance of the station.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to see how we might work together. I aim to provide a warm, empathetic, genuine and non- judgemental environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
My goal is to support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself, building self-trust and navigating life’s challenges with greater confidence.
My first session
Our work together is shaped by your own unique experiences, needs and goals, rather than following a set agenda.
From our first session, my priority is to create a safe, supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable being yourself. Together we will explore the challenges you are facing, helping you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself thoughts, feelings and experiences while working towards meaningful and lasting change. Our therapy sessions move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you, with no pressure to discuss anything until you feel ready.
