About me and my therapy practice
I’m Daniela Osu, a qualified and certified therapist offering online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, REBT, EMDR and Clinical Hypnotherapy to clients across London and the UK.
I have over 20 years’ experience working in private practice, in the NHS and the Priory Hospital, supporting people with anxiety, trauma, low mood, emotional distress, low self-esteem, confidence issues and performance-related difficulties.
My approach is practical, collaborative and tailored to each person. I don’t believe therapy should feel vague or passive. I work with clients to understand what is keeping them stuck, develop clearer patterns of thinking and responding, and build tools they can use in everyday life. Sessions are supportive and non-judgmental, but also focused on creating meaningful and lasting change.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than a decade working in high-pressure corporate roles in London. This gave me a real understanding of stress, burnout, pressure to perform and the emotional cost of constantly “holding it all together”. It also shaped the way I work: with empathy, clarity and a strong focus on helping people move from insight into action.
I trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy at Imperial College London and later completed an MSc in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at Goldsmiths, University of London. I have also completed EMDR training for the treatment of trauma, anxiety and depression.
I draw on CBT, EMDR, Clinical Hypnotherapy and other evidence-based approaches depending on each client’s needs. The aim is not just to talk about what is difficult, but to help you develop the understanding, tools and confidence to create real change in your life.
Practice description
I offer a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can talk openly and feel understood. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, negative thoughts, trauma, PTSD, low confidence, emotional distress or unwanted habits, my aim is to help you feel safe, supported and better equipped to manage what you are going through.
My approach is practical, compassionate and tailored to you. I draw on evidence-based methods including CBT, EMDR and Clinical Hypnotherapy, depending on your needs and goals. Together, we work at a pace that feels right for you, helping you understand what is keeping you stuck and develop tools to create meaningful, lasting change.
Therapy with me is not about judgment or labels. It is about helping you feel more grounded, more confident, and more able to respond to life’s challenges in a healthier and more effective way.
My first session
The first session is a safe and supportive space for you to begin opening up, feeling heard, and starting to process what has brought you to therapy. It also allows me to understand your needs, assess what may be most helpful, and work with you to shape a flexible therapeutic journey that feels right for you.What I can help with
