Practice description

I trained as an Integrative Counsellor which means I use different approaches to best suit you as an individual. The approaches I use include:

Person Centred - listening to you with empathy, respect and no judgement to help you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

Attachment-helping you to understand how your childhood experiences could be influencing your relationships now.

Compassion Focused Therapy- guiding you to develop a kinder way to talk to yourself and reduce self-criticism.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy- supporting you to recognise and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop practical solutions to make the changes you want in your life.

Psycho-educational - educating you to help you understand more about yourself.

My first session

I offer an introductory session at £25 so that we can both decide if we are a good fit. If you feel comfortable to work with me, we will then arrange a time to meet for our first session.

Before our first session I will email you a copy of my Client Agreement and a short questionnaire to help gather information about what you would like to explore in counselling.

If you prefer to fill these in with me we can do that in our first session together.
