About me and my therapy practice
HI, I'm Emma. Are you concerned about your child? I’m here to help.
I am an experienced (PTUK) accredited play therapist and BACP registered member and work with children who are experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, anger and stress.
Play therapy helps children to express themselves and find healthier ways to cope with anger, fear or worry. It helps children explore their thoughts and feelings and make sense of their life experiences. This works through developing a trusting relationship and allowing your child to express themself in a non-judgemental space.
I have been working as a play therapist for over 15 years. As well as working directly with children I also work with parents to help them help their own children through playing together.
Practice description
I work with children face to face, often in school settings or a hired therapy space. I am happy to travel for up to an hour from my home base of SE2.
Play therapy allows children to explore at their own level and pace. This enables them to explore confused feelings or upsetting experiences and build resilience and confidence. Play is a natural form of communication for children and is highly effective in helping children ‘play out’ what they may find difficult to express in words.
Play Therapy is usually a minimum of 12 weeks to allow a trusting relationship to grow so your child can express themself freely. We will meet regularly throughout the period of therapy to review how things are going.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute zoom consultation or call to find out what you would like from your child’s therapy. If you would like to go ahead we will arrange a more in-depth conversation.
After meeting with you I will meet your child for a first session where they can explore the therapy room and we can get to know one another.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi I'm Emma. I am a MBCAP and (PTUK) accredited play therapist. I have been supervising for 7 years and offer supervision for people who work with children. This might be play therapists, counsellors, DSLs, or school staff and social workers.
Supervision is a supportive space where we can explore your work. It is a reflective process which aims to develop and deepen personal understanding and skills in relation to your work with children.
As a creative relational therapist myself I often use creative materials in the supervision space (although it is not compulsory!). This helps to move us away from being overly cognitive or problem-focussed. Creative experiences allow supervisees to explore aspects of their work which might not show up if we used words alone. This helps to deepen insight.
Practice description
I supervise from home, at workplaces and training rooms or over Zoom. I am happy to travel for up to an hour from my home base in SE2.
My first session
I offer a free 30 minute initial session so that we can get to know one another a bit and decide whether we would like to work together. If you decide to go ahead we will make a contract together.
