About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Hannah. I’m a warm, down-to-earth counsellor who offers a calm, non-judgemental space where you can talk things through at your own pace. You don’t need to have a clear plan or know exactly what’s “wrong” — many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected, and we can begin there.
I work integratively, with a strong person-centred foundation. In simple terms, this means our relationship really matters. I aim to meet you with care, curiosity and respect, and I’ll support you to feel heard and understood. I also gently draw on psychodynamic ideas to explore how past experiences and relationship patterns might be shaping how things feel now.
Therapy with me is collaborative rather than directive. I won’t tell you what to do or rush you towards solutions. Instead, we’ll work together to make sense of your experiences, build self-understanding and support you to feel more confident in your needs, boundaries and choices.
My hope is that therapy feels like a place where you can show up as you are — thoughtful, messy, unsure or hopeful — and feel genuinely met.
Practice description
My practice offers a calm, confidential and compassionate space where you can pause, reflect and explore what is going on for you. I aim to work at a pace that feels safe and manageable, supporting you to bring whatever feels most important — whether that is a specific difficulty or a more general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure.
Sessions are collaborative and relational. I will listen carefully, ask gentle questions and reflect with you to help deepen understanding and awareness. Together we can explore thoughts, emotions, bodily responses and relational patterns, both past and present, to support meaningful insight and change. I also recognise that therapy can feel daunting, particularly at the beginning, and I work sensitively to help you feel settled and supported.
I work integratively, drawing primarily on person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. This allows space to explore early experiences and relationships while also staying grounded in your current life and needs. Where helpful, I may also support you to develop practical strategies for emotional regulation, boundaries and self-care.
I offer therapy online and create a professional, ethical and reliable therapeutic framework, including clear boundaries and regular reviews of the work. My aim is to provide a consistent, respectful and supportive environment where you can develop greater self-understanding, self-compassion and confidence in your choices.
