About me and my therapy practice
I believe that the therpeutic relationship between therapist and client is the greatest tool and most important aspect of therapy. Working with me means meeting a fellow human being and being seen as a whole person rather than a diagnosis or a problem to solve.
My approach is integrative with a relational core. This means that my goal is to create a safe and supportive space for you to explore the difficulties you are experiencing without being met with judgement or advice.
There is no one size fits all in therapy and what is right for one client may not be right for another. I will draw on different techniques to work collaboratively with you according to what feels helpful in our sessions. This means that you don't need to fit one particular model of therapy, or work through a pre determined model in a set number of weeks. Instead we can be flexible and adapt things, within my scope of practice, as therapy progresses.
Practice description
Having recently completed my Msc Psycotherapy and Counselling with the University of Leeds, I am setting up in private practice alongside volunteering locally.
Currently I am able to offer online sessions at a reduced cost whilst I build my practice. I offer a free 20minute introductory telephone call to talk you through my practice and see if I seem like a good fit for you.
