About me and my therapy practice
Being a person-centred trained counsellor means that I prioritise creating a supportive, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My approach is rooted in the core principles of unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and empathy.
While my foundation is person-centred, I recognise that each client is unique and may benefit from additional therapeutic techniques. Therefore, I may integrate other approach strategies such as CBT or ACT.
Practice description
I’m here to support you through life’s tough moments. I’ve helped many clients manage anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges in a warm and positive way. I’ve also had the privilege of working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD, and I truly understand that everyone sees and experiences the world in their own unique way.
For anyone who suffers from chronic pain and illness, and carers. Having personally lived with chronic pain, I know what it feels like to be misunderstood and to face emotional struggles. This personal experience gives me deep empathy and a real understanding of what you might be going through.
My aim is to create a trusting, safe space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll gently explore what might be holding you back, to help you gain clarity and find a way forward that feels right for you.
My first session
Prior to the first session I will contact you to complete a free telephone consultation. This is a friendly, no-obligation chat where we can talk about how I work, what you’re hoping to achieve, and how I can support you. It’s a great way for us to get to know each other and see if my approach feels right for you. I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your journey.
