About me and my therapy practice

I am based in Guildford town centre, offering therapy to teenagers (14+), young adults, professionals, and parents, both in person and online.

Many people come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of who they are becoming. You may be struggling with relationships, work pressures, family responsibilities, low self-esteem, anxiety, or a life transition that has left you feeling stuck. For young adults especially, life can sometimes feel like a constant pressure to have it all figured out.

I offer a warm, thoughtful, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life. Together, we can explore your experiences, make sense of difficult emotions, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and help you move towards the life you want to create.

I have particular experience supporting:

  • young adults navigating education, work, identity, and independence;
  • professionals experiencing stress and burnout;
  • parents balancing the competing demands of work, relationships, and family life.
  • clients facing significant life transitions.

Alongside my private practice, I work within a university counselling service and teach counselling to adult learners who are training to become counsellors. These roles give me a strong understanding of the emotional challenges people can face while studying, building careers, managing relationships, and navigating periods of change.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. Whether you are facing a specific difficulty or simply have a sense that something is not quite right, counselling can offer a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

Practice description

I offer integrative, relational counselling that places the relationship that we will build at the heart of the work. Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held weekly. I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, depending on your needs.

My approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when you feel safely met, genuinely heard, and able to explore your experiences without judgement or pressure.

Sessions are shaped around you. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your needs, rather than working from a one-size-fits-all model. This may include exploring past experiences and patterns, focusing on current challenges, or working more practically with coping strategies and emotional regulation, depending on what feels most helpful for you.

.We work at your pace, and you remain in control of what feels right to bring into sessions.

My first session

After a 15-minute introductory call, I usually invite clients to a 50-minute assessment session to explore your difficulties in more depth and see if we’re a good fit. At the end, we’ll review how things are going and discuss ongoing support.

If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, you’re welcome to get in touch.
