About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified BACP registered integrative counsellor and I believe we all have a deep human desire to feel whole and connected to ourselves and others, although this can sometimes feel impossible. Together, we can explore the different “parts” within you that may be preventing you from having the relationship you want with yourself and with others, helping you to better understand feelings such as shame, sadness, anxiety, and self-doubt. Using an integrative approach, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), I aim to support you in developing healthier ways of living, building resilience, navigating life’s transitions, and overcoming challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and low self-esteem and issues around identity and self-worth.

I believe every person is unique, and I am committed to providing a safe, supportive space where you can feel empowered to grow, heal, and reconnect with yourself and others.

I have several years of clinical experience at MIND which allowed me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, each grappling with their own unique challenges. This experience deepened my empathy and understanding of the human mind. I also have clinical experience at a private practice in Cambridge. Currently, I have been in private practice for over four years.

My qualifications include:

• BSc (Hons) Integrative Counselling

• Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling

• Diploma in Integrative Counselling

• Certificate in Person-Centred Therapy

• Internal Family Systems Therapy – Certificate Levels 1 and 2

• Additional training (Certificate Level 1 and 2) in ADHD and neurodiversity through the Grove Practice

I hold Professional indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance. I am DBS checked.

I am a member of the BACP and also have full accreditation with UKCP and abide by their standard of ethics.

Practice description

As an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I believe there is no single approach that works for everyone. I draw on a range of therapeutic models, including CBT, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to tailor counselling to your individual needs and experiences.

Having experienced the benefits of counselling myself, I understand how difficult it can feel to take the first step. I aim to offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever has brought you to therapy at a pace that feels right for you. Feeling emotionally safe is central to the work we do together.

My approach is rooted in building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and accepted. Together, we can explore patterns, emotions, relationships, and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing and preventing you from living the life you want. I believe that developing self-awareness and self-acceptance can create meaningful and lasting change.

Central to my work is a genuine desire to understand you as an individual and to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself.  My hope is to help you navigate life and relationships in a healthier, more connected way, while supporting you to better understand yourself with compassion, curiosity, and honesty. I encourage openness, curiosity, and reflection so that you can begin to understand yourself not through the expectations placed upon you by others or by yourself, but through a more compassionate and authentic understanding of who you are.

My first session

Making your first appointment can feel overwhelming, but it is also an important first step towards positive change. You are welcome to contact me via email, text, or phone call. Once you get in touch, we can arrange an initial meeting where we will discuss what has brought you to counselling, how I work, and whether we feel we are the right fit to work together.

I offer a collaborative, compassionate, and tailored approach to counselling, where your individual experiences, needs, and pace are respected throughout the therapeutic process. In our first session we will discuss your goals and desires and you will learn how it feels to be relationship with me.
