About me and my therapy practice
Walking in nature adds a powerful therapeutic dimension that traditional indoor counselling does not always offer. The natural environment helps regulate the nervous system, lowering stress hormones and supporting a calmer, more grounded state making it easier for clients to open up and process emotions. Gentle movement reduces the intensity of face‑to‑face conversation, helping people feel less self‑conscious and more able to speak freely. Nature also stimulates creativity, clarity, and perspective. Clients often find that insights emerge more naturally when surrounded by open space, fresh air, and soothing sensory cues. Overall, walk‑and‑talk therapy blends mind, body, and environment in a way that enhances emotional release, deepens self‑connection, and supports holistic wellbeing.
I am an MBACP integrative counsellor experienced in EAP work related issues, trauma, domestic abuse, and bereavement. I can provide face to face and online therapy for adults across Wolverhampton, Cannock, Lichfield, and surrounding areas.
Practice description
My approach is holistic, compassionate, and centred on creating a safe, non judgemental space where you can feel genuinely heard and supported.
Drawing on person centred foundations alongside CBT, psychodynamic, creative, and somatic approaches, I tailor therapy to each individual. I hold postgraduate training in couples counselling and trauma informed practice, and I work confidently with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, identity, and attachment. My work is grounded in the belief that every person’s story is unique, shaped by their experiences and the world around them.
