About me and my therapy practice

Integrative Therapist | Anxiety, Trauma, Relationships, ADHD

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or noticing patterns in your relationships that are hard to change. These experiences can sometimes be linked to earlier life experiences or trauma, even when this is not immediately clear. Therapy can offer a space to explore these experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

I offer a calm, supportive, and collaborative space where you can talk openly about what is going on for you. You do not need to have everything clearly understood before coming to therapy. We can take time to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences together in a way that feels manageable and respectful.

My approach is integrative, with a relational and existential focus. It is informed by attachment based and trauma informed thinking, with attention to the connection between emotional experience, relationships, and the body. I pay attention to the connection between body and mind, and may incorporate creative and expressive approaches to support a more integrated experience of thoughts, feelings, and relationships.

I am particularly interested in how early relationships and life experiences, including trauma, shape the way we feel about ourselves and others. This can include patterns such as self criticism, fear of rejection, difficulty expressing emotions, or feeling disconnected. I also work with clients navigating neurodevelopmental differences, including ADHD, and how these experiences affect emotional life and relationships.

Practice description

I am a qualified counsellor and trainee integrative psychotherapist offering therapy for adults, children, and adolescents. I hold an MSc in Psychology and am currently completing an MA in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. My work is supported by regular clinical supervision.

I offer support with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, low self esteem, relationship difficulties, and the impact of earlier life experiences, including developmental trauma and abuse. I also work with clients who may feel stuck, disconnected, or struggle with intense or difficult to manage emotions.

I have experience working with clients who experience strong emotional reactions, fear of rejection or abandonment, and patterns in relationships that feel hard to change.

I work in a collaborative and thoughtful way, offering a space where you can reflect on your experiences and begin to understand patterns in how you feel and relate to others. We will move at a pace that feels manageable, with attention to what feels safe and comfortable for you.

My approach is integrative, drawing on relational, attachment based, and trauma informed perspectives. I aim to offer a consistent, non judgemental, and supportive environment where you can feel heard and understood.

Sessions are usually held weekly at the same time, either in person or online, and last 50 minutes. I offer both short term and open ended therapy, depending on your needs and what you would like to focus on.

I currently offer sessions for adults at a concessionary rate as part of my ongoing psychotherapy training. You are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial session or to ask any questions.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and begin to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

You are welcome to talk about what has brought you to therapy, or we can take time to explore this together if it feels unclear. There is no pressure to share everything at once, and we will go at a pace that feels comfortable and safe.

I may ask some gentle questions to understand your current situation, your background, and what you might be hoping for from therapy. You are also welcome to ask any questions about how I work.

The first session is not an assessment or a test, but a space to begin a conversation and see whether you feel comfortable and supported.
