Hello, I'm Amanda, a warm and compassionate counsellor offering a safe, relaxed, non-judgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and valued. I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a member of the ACC as well as the BACP. Alongside having my own private practice, I also work as a Senior Associate at a London based counselling service, offering counselling support to individuals navigating a wide range of life experiences. I also work at a hospice as the lead counsellor for both the children's and adults' services.
About me and my therapy practice
My counselling style is relational and collaborative, built on trust, respect, and authenticity. I believe our formative experiences shape how we think, feel, and behave, and that challenges often arise from a blend of past experiences, present pressures, and future worries.
I work in a way that feels manageable and meaningful, at a pace that suits you. Together, we’ll explore your journey and the patterns that shape your life, gently opening space for self-discovery, growth, and change. I believe every person’s story matters, and that a safe, accepting relationship can nurture healing, resilience and confidence to support you along the road ahead.
As a person-centred integrative therapist, I adapt my approach to every individual, tailoring the work to their needs and personality. I draw on a range of therapeutic techniques including:
Person-Centred Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Psychodynamic Therapy
Systemic Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Internal Family Systems
Practice description
I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling. My training has equipped me with a range of therapeutic approaches, which allows me to be creative and flexible in supporting your unique needs and way of working.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Child, Adult & Family Therapist in a hospice setting, supporting people of all ages through grief, loss, and emotional challenges. I also bring many years of experience working with young people, which has deepened my understanding of emotional development, family dynamics, and the different needs that arise across life stages.
I appreciate how much courage it can take to begin counselling. Whether you're exploring past patterns, navigating current challenges, or working through feeling stuck, counselling can help. It offers a space to pause, reflect, and be yourself. I am deeply committed to walking alongside you, supporting you as you find your way forward.
My first session
I offer a free 10/15 minute online meeting (via Google Meet) before our first session. This gives us the opportunity to meet, explore what you're hoping for from therapy, and see whether I'm the right person to support you. It also allows you to ask any initial questions you may have.
