About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or caught in ways of coping that once helped but no longer feel useful. You may be struggling in relationships, feeling not good enough, anxious, lost, or unsure why things affect you so deeply. We can begin there, and slowly make sense of it together.
I am interested in your unique story, and in us creating a human connection where you feel supported and able to show up as you are. Where being human, and not having everything figured out, can simply be the beginning of our journey together.
I am here to explore your experiences alongside you and to support you with whatever it is that brings you to counselling. All parts of you are welcome and valid.
I have a particular interest in inner child work and how early experiences and relationships have shaped, and continue to shape, how we see ourselves and relate to others today. Alongside talking aspects of therapy, I also work with body awareness and the connection between our emotional and physical experiences, helping you to connect more fully with yourself, especially when feelings are difficult to put into words.
I am currently undertaking training in breathwork. Breath is one of the few bodily processes we can consciously influence, and working with it can support emotional regulation, grounding, reconnection, and a greater sense of wellbeing.
If reading about me has left you with questions, or you feel drawn to reach out, we can begin with a conversation and take things from there.
Practice description
My approach is holistic and integrative, grounded in the belief that healing involves the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. I see therapy as a collaborative journey of self-discovery, where we make sense of experiences, explore patterns of relating, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves that have been hidden or silenced.
Drawing on psychodynamic, humanistic, transpersonal, and somatic perspectives, I attend to what is said, what is felt, and what is held in the body. I believe meaning unfolds through relationships that invite curiosity, compassion, and presence, with creativity and imagination illuminating pathways to deeper understanding and transformation. Counselling is not only about addressing pain but also about nurturing your capacity for growth, fulfilment, and aliveness, so you can move through life with greater ease, meaning, and wholeness.
My approach is trauma-informed and relational, grounded in the understanding that healing and growth happen through connection and trust. Feeling safe and supported is the foundation for any meaningful change. I seek to provide an environment where you can feel secure, respected and understood, and where we can begin to explore difficult feelings and experiences at your own pace.
I am interested in your unique story: how life has shaped you, what feels most alive or tender now, and what might be seeking expression beneath the surface. Together, we make sense of patterns not to label them, but to understand how they once helped you adapt, and how they might now be holding you back. Through this exploration, new possibilities for growth, fulfilment, and aliveness can emerge, supporting you to move through life with greater authenticity.
My first session
If you are considering starting counselling but would like to talk first, I offer a free 20-minute introductory online or face to face in Norwich appointment. This is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what brings you to counselling, and explore what you’re hoping to achieve from the process. It also allows you to ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.
There’s no charge for this initial meeting and no obligation to continue. If you decide to go ahead, regular sessions are 50 minutes long and cost £50 per session.
