About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Vikki, a qualified humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
Are you feeling out of alignment with yourself, your body, your relationships, or the life you imagined? Perhaps your navigating transitions that are reshaping your roles, identity, or sense of self. I welcome anyone who feels drawn to this work, across all identities and lived experiences.
I came to this work through both professional and personal experience. My career as a professional dancer and Pilates practitioner gave me a deep appreciation for the mind body connection and how emotions, stress, and life experiences are held in breath, posture, and movement. Over time, I became curious about the stories beneath these patterns, which led me to train as a psychotherapist.
Alongside this, navigating my own experiences of belonging, relationship to my body, anxiety, life transitions, loss, and discovering my neurodivergent way of processing has profoundly shaped how I work.
I know how powerful it can be to have a space where you feel truly heard and welcomed as you are. My work is grounded in the belief that mind and body are inseparable, and meaningful change happens when we attend to both.
As a humanistic therapist, I work integratively with the body, mind, and environment, drawing on Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Formative Psychology, and Eco-therapy. I may bring creativity, playfulness, or outdoor sessions in nature into our work, if you wish.
I don’t offer solutions, I believe the wisdom you need is already within you. Instead, I provide a space to explore your relationships with yourself and others, to reconnect with your body, emotions, and nervous system, and to safely unmask and explore your story. Beneath it all, there is often a quiet longing: freedom from self-criticism, permission to take up space, feeling enough, and clarity about your desires.
Practice description
I work in private practice serving the areas of Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Ditchling, Hassocks, and the surrounding villages.
I offer a warm, compassionate space to explore whatever is happening for you. You don’t need to know where to start, we can begin exactly where you are. I walk alongside you with respect as we explore your unique story, moving at your pace as you discover what it means to be in relationship with your authentic self.
Our work together is shaped around what feels most supportive for you. You might find comfort in the grounding presence of in-person sessions in my quiet, welcoming therapy space in Ditchling, the flexibility of connecting online, or the gentle rhythm of walking and talking outdoors in nature.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length, and I tend to work in an open-ended way, offering space for deeper exploration. We regularly review our work together to ensure it continues to meet your needs.
